Biography
So who the heck is this Adrian Johnz?
"I realised that guys need good guys"
I have always had lots of hobbies and a wide social circle of friends. But when my relationship ended, not one of my male friends was actually a friend to me. Not one guy said “hey sorry to hear about your split, that really sucks, fancy meeting up for a walk/chat/beer/coffee/cinema/…”
Losing the love of my life was terrible enough but what made it so much more unbearable was learning that not one of my male friends was actually a good mate 🙁
Women seem way better at supporting their friends when a relationship ends, but guys just seem actually rubbish at it. It’s like they’ve never even thought about how to be a friend.
Adrian Johnz is just a bloke with a guitar, a keyboard, a mic, and a load of cables!
During lockdown the band I was in couldn’t meet up and rehearse, so I thought I’d figure how we could record some of our covers and songs that we had written to help keep the band going and for a bit of fun.
Sadly the band broke up but the good news is I now have the skills to produce songs!
I didn’t think I had anything to say, but there is nothing like a breakup to get the lyrics flowing!
The biggest killer of men under 50 is suicide 🙁
So now I am on a mission. I want my music and the people I collaborate with, to really help men in a genuine and useful way.
It needs to lift their mood, and sad songs can do that too because they stop you feeling alone.
I want my music to educate guys on how to be good friends with other blokes and support them too.
Clearly men need this and I would love to connect with you if this interests you too 🙂
